Forecasts
A period of moister, cooler weather has arrived. Some high-level moisture is visible on this morning’s satellite imagery. Even so, the fire will continue to be driven by strong afternoon up-canyon winds. In the image below, you can see smoke packed into the Salmon River drainage. This smoke hangs out in the mornings, and often clears out in early afternoon. With the current cool marine air pushing into the area, the smoke will likely not peel out as early in the day as it has been, if it does at all.
