INCIWEB update 12pm today: The Type 2 Incident Management Team 11, led by Incident Commander Christopher Fogle, will assume command of the Six Rivers Lightning Complex today at 6:00pm. Additional ground and aerial firefighting resources have been ordered and are en route to be deployed to this emerging wildfire incident.

WEATHER: Warm temperatures today could contribute to more extreme fire behavior. Firefighters will continue to provide protection for structures, infrastructure, and wildlife habitat.

August 7, 9am: Intel for the lightning complex near Willow Creek, CA has been limited. Mapping data is incomplete for everything on the south side of the Trinity River and Highway 299.

LOOKOUT MAP KEY:
Areas shaded RED are where the fire is most active. Areas shaded YELLOW are where the fire is cooling down.
Between the RED & WHITE perimeter lines is approximately 26 hours growth as of 10:30pm yesterday (August 6).
Areas shaded in BLUE and GREEN are relevant wildfires from the previous years that may influence how the fires spread.

Overview of the Six Rivers Lightning Complex.

Looking north over Salyer, the Trinity River and the Highway 299 corridor. The Campbell fire looks to have thrown quite a few spot fires above neighborhoods north of Fountain Ranch Road in Salyer.

Looking southeast at the Bremer and Cedar Fires. Willow Creek neighborhoods line the Trinity River to the south and west below the Bremer fire.

Bremer fire over Bigfoot Neighborhood off Patterson Road.

VIIRS detections in red were captured on August 7, 2022 @ 3am PDT. Looking south at the Oak, Charlie, and Ammon Fires. Mapping IR data was incomplete on these fires so we’re looking at satellite imagery. Heat detection layers are not the most accurate way to know precise locations of a fire, but when there’s limited data available, we use what we have. Be aware heat signatures in this map could be showing heat from smoke and should not be relied on for accuracy. Friday Ridge is seen running north/south on the right side of the map.
