As the Park Fire slowed it’s growth over the last few days, Zeke had the chance to sit down with NSPR’s Matt Fiddler, Sarah Bohannon and Dave Schlom (of Blue Dot) and discuss details about the first day of the Park Fire. Zeke takes us through some of the ecological and geological uniqueness of the Lassen foothills which explain why the Park Fire was able to grow so big so fast. Zeke, who began reporting on YouTube in earnest during the Dixie Fire in 2021, discusses the similarities between the Dixie Fire and the Park Fire and helps broaden our perspective of wildfire in the unique landscape where the Cascades meet the Sierras.
