Bullshit Stew, with Uncle Jim

Last week, I headed up to the hillbilly sticks, in the no-mans land astride the Butte/Yuba County line for a helping of organic, home-cooked bullshit stew, with my longtime fire friend and living legend, Jim Klump. I was not disappointed!

Jim and I talked for about 5 hours. Mainly Jim talked, actually, but that was fine – it was why I had made the pilgrimage! Not all of our conversation was goofy. We got into leadership, weather, community, smokejumping, and fire tech, all as seen by a guy who started his wildland career in 1959!

We’ve got the first installment of our conversation up on our Patreon account as a podcast. Another will follow, soon. We are also giving away some nice Sasquatch Lookout hoodies on Patreon, so be sure to become a member, even at the free level, so you can be entered to win!
