Just finished editing a short video from this May, burning at the Chico Airport with the @ChicoFD. Deputy Chief Chris Zinko talks about the reasons we were burning, and how the department and citizens benefit from the use of #GoodFire.

First cloud-free #Sentinel2 satellite images in a month dropped yesterday. Great to check out snow levels, reservoirs, and wet wet wet in the Butte Basin/Lower Sacramento River. First image compares Colusa area now vs 12/15/2022. #Geography #RemoteSensing #CaWx #CaStorm 1/x

Getting strategic over maps with folks from Oregon State, 3 different Cal Fire units, 3 ranger districts, 2 RCDs, 2 firesafe councils, and one National Park. We were talking about PODs (Potential Operational Deliniations). We'll be talking more about PODs on The Lookout soon.

We were invited to attend a wildfire pre-planning workshop with @CAL_FIRE, @LassenNF and @LassenNPS this week. We shared satellite imagery we created showing effects of #DixieFire and planning work we've done for @SierraInst. #forestry #WildfireCommunication #RemoteSensing

Mineral, Childs Meadows, SW entrance to Lassen Park. Chester on far left. Western boundary of #DixieFire was defined by a firing operation on Highway 89. Lower severity burn in center was flanking fire in days following major south>north push past Chester.
